Sign
I wander alone in the freezing loneliness
looking for a sign
there is none
only the mark I carry
the deep stain
of loss, and waste,
time you can’t replace.
I stare
head thrust upward
howling
at the unseen
aberrations lurking
looking for exit
explanations shining in the sun.
